Hello, I am about to start writing the common app essay prompt #1. I actually have two main passions and I am confused about which one to choose. I have passion for teaching and also invention. I just like being innovative by suggesting new ideas. I am a prospective havard student.

Hello, if you have those 2 passions linked together, for instance, I mean if you got the passion for the invention while teaching, you can first start writing how did u get the passion of teaching followed by how did u get the passion of invention from teaching. You can do the same if you got a passion for teaching while inventing.
If those are not related, just draft two different essays and see which one is best in both, and write for the one which you liked. You can also write the essays for both and submit them for a peer essay review, to know which essay is better.
