Harvard prospective students

Can I get İn Harvard with not so strong extracurriculars?
Answered

I am an international student. I did lots of projects and I was the president of the theater club in my school. But because of the covid, there are still big absences in my extracurriculars. I didn’t win any international contests, etc. I’ve only took 2 Ap classes because my school didn’t offer so many Ap classes( just 5). And i got 3 and 4 as results. My gpa is a significant gpa in my country. So is there still chance for me to get in Harvard?

There is still a chance! A lot of students had trouble filling their extracurricular resume, and it sounds like you have some good stuff on there anyway. Are you taking the other 3 APs this year? If you've taken all 5 AP classes your school offers and did well in the classes, that will look very good. In fact, your grades in AP classes are much more important than your exam scores. (I definitely wouldn't submit your 3 to Harvard, and I might not submit the 4 either, depending on the subject.)

Of course, to maximize your chances of admission, you'll want to keep taking challenging classes and doing well in them, get a good score on the SAT or ACT, write excellent essays, and continue to build your extracurricular portfolio.
