Biology extracurriculars

I'm a junior planning on going into biology, hopefully marine biology. I've got a few extracurriculars that focus on what I enjoy(i started a debate club, and I volunteer a certain amount of hours every year mostly due to the requirements of group im a part of).

(Im also planning on running for student government next year)

I want to have at least 1 extracurricular more closely related to my education and career paths. If you have any suggestions id love to hear them and it'd be very helpful.

Hello! I am an aspiring physician and I have intentions to study bio for my undergrad! Thus far you have a significant amount of extra circular activities! I would say volunteer at your local aquarium or zoo or get a job there! Additionally, do community service at a beach like starting a clean-up service on the weekend for instances that combats pollutants getting into the water! I hope this helps best of luck!

What a great major. If you are fortunate to live near a cost, check out a local ocean institute, marine mammal center, or even an ocean rescue organization.

Here is a great example: https://www.pacificmmc.org/. These organizations do great work and often have great volunteer training. You not only learn about the animals, but also about their environment. If you are not near marine biology centers, then try volunteering with a zoo and focus on animals associated with rivers and streams. Good luck!
