I am currently a junior in high school and I am taking 3 AP classes right now and will be taking 6 more in my senior year (I will not be taking the AP test for all of them). But I want to ask if bad AP scores lower my chances of getting into top colleges?
I heard that some of the top colleges like the Ivy League require a full AP score report, so I won't be able to choose which scores to send. Considering that I am going into a Computer Science field, I am more focused on math and science-related subjects, and my language and history subjects are lacking a little. I still get A's in all my classes but bad AP scores are starting to worry me a little. Long story short, I got a 2 on my AP World History Modern exam last year and I am concerned that this kind of score(s) will lower my chances of getting into some of the colleges to which I am applying to include my dream school, MIT.
I know that I can't change my scores from last year but will the non-passing AP score play a big part in my college decisions?
Do not send any AP scores.
