Are there any internships/research opportunities given to those under the age of 16?

Hi, I'm a 15 year old junior in high school.

I've been wanting to take part in internships and research opportunities, but the age requirement always seems to cut off at 16. I've reached out multiple time and have asked if there could be an exception, but the response is always the same. And the few internships that do allow students under 16 are opportunities that have nothing to do with my interests.

So, does anyone have any opportunities that I am able to do, preferably over the summer? And opportunities that are still open?

I'm interesting in engineering/comp sci and biology but anything related to STEM would be great. Thank you!

I recommend looking into remote internships, since these often have less stringent age requirements. This CollegeVine blog post has some internships that might be of interest to you. Hope this helps!
