Would taking more IB tests increase my college chances?
Answered

This year I'm taking two tests (math and physics, both SL), next year I want to take 2 as well (Japanese SL and Chemistry HL). I could take three more (psychology, english, history) but is it worth it? Would taking one more

I'm absolutely not going for the whole diploma, and I'm planning on going into bio-engineering/biochemistry.

I think that it would be worth it because the tests you are currently slated to take are mostly STEM-focused. It would look good to take at least one more humanities test in addition to Japanese SL. Taking all three would be even better, but sticking to one test will work if you'd have to reduce your grades or extracurricular commitments to carve out time for test prep. Hope this helps!
