Juniors

I am currently a junior with a 4.28 10-12 WGPA and I’m afraid I’ll get a C in math second semester.

As I said above I am a junior with a 4.28 10-12 WGPA. I have gotten all As on my transcript and now I’m absolutely terrified as to what will happen if I get a B or even a C for second semester in math. Everyone says junior year is the year all colleges looks at the most and if I have a B or C I am scared I won’t get in anywhere.

I think that you only have cause to celebrate if you get a B in an area that is challenging for you! Top colleges accept applicants who are not straight A students, so you will be a competitive applicant if your transcript has a few Bs on it. Colleges will also see it as totally understandable for you struggle in one particular area more than others.

Top colleges still do accept students with a C on their transcripts. So long as you only have one C by the end of high school, with the majority of your other grades being As in rigorous classes, you will be fine. It's a good idea to explain the context behind any Cs in the Additional Info section of your applications. Hope this helps!
