Where does Collegevine's chancing simulator get its data from?

If a user updates their school list with "accepted" and "rejected", is that user's data used to improve the chancing simulator? If not, where does collegevine get the data to base their simulator off of?

I've heard back from the team! To answer your question, CollegeVine chancing is powered by data from a variety of sources. These include, and are not limited to, publicly available data, student reported data, and independent research. You can learn more about all of the factors that the chancing model takes into consideration in this blog article. Hope that helps!
