AP Calc or AP Stats

Hi all! I'm a rising senior who's looking to go into pre-med, specifically neuroscience, neurosurgery or anesthesiology. Do you guys think that I should take AP Stats or AP Calc BC? I've already taken Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, and Pre-calc. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Right now I have AP Stats scheduled because people said that AP Calc BC is really hard and I don't want to distract myself from college admissions next year. That being said, I have been in classes where I didn't have the appropriate prerequisite courses and I've taught myself the material, so I think either one is viable. For example, I went into AP Physics C: Mechanics without knowing calculus and taught myself things like derivatives, integrals, the power rule, etc.

I think you’re right, AP calc will distract you from your college applications and in my opinion, getting an A in an easy class is better than getting a B in a hard class.
