Running marathon
Answered

So hi guys!

Wanted to ask a question what are the ways of raising money in running marathons since I want to make and dedicate all money to disabled children, but don't know how to raise money?

And what do you think would it be strong extracurriculars and makes me somehow stand out as an international student?

Here are some steps that I recommend to organize a marathon:

1. Find a venue and set a date for the run

2. Ask your school's administrators or your local government if they could promote the event for you

3. To raise the donation money, charge people a minimum entrance fee to participate in the run. You could have a few people stay at a table with a money box and apps like Venmo to collect the funds.

4. You will also want to have a few people stand at the beginning, middle, and end of the track to moderate the marathon. Setting up water stations and giving out nametags to runners is also helpful.

As for extracurriculars, try to do activities that are Tier 1 or Tier 2 - in other words, they involve leadership and have an impact on the state, provincial, regional, national, or international level. Hope this helps!
