Which college is good for computer science?

This year, I’m going to have IGCSE tests in my Indonesian international school. My teacher says that if I can get good scores at it, I can get to college straight away. So I’m asking which colleges are good for computer science and what preparations do I need?

Not rlly an answer so just commenting. A lot of top unis won't accept just IGCSEs since they aren't as academically rigorous as A levels (I'd say a subject at A Level is 3-4x as rigorous as the IGCSE). on top of that, comp sci is a notoriously hard course to get into. If you're aiming for top schools, like MIT or similar, I think A levels would be the best route to getting there. You would also have more time to really build a solid application by participating in competitions, learning new programming languages. If you aren't aiming for hugely competitive schools, you would need to research those universities' individual policies. Preparation wise, you would need a strong extracurricular background like participating in CS related competitions, significant knowledge of programming like making apps etc. to make your application strong and competitive despite not taking A levels.

If you want the best of the best, schools such as Stanford, MIT, Caltech, Princeton, Harvard, Georgia Tech, and Carnegie Mellon, one of my hometown schools. Context: I live near Pittsburgh, PA
