My plan is to go the Veterinary Assistant route. Would it be better to Major in B.S. Biology or B.S. Animal Science? I’ve done my research but they both seem to be very helpful majors within the field?
Biology is likely offered by more schools, but if your schools of interest offer animal science, go for that! I'm also going into veterinary medicine and plan on majoring in animal science with an emphasis in pre-veterinary medicine. It's an extremely helpful major for anyone going into that field. You'd be taking biology classes either way, but focusing on animal science rather than biology will place you in classes that are more animal-based and specific to what you're looking for.
Go for Animal Science if it is offered in your choice of colleges.
