I'm in that stage in my junior year where I'm applying for like, 500 scholarships. I'm worried about being able to pay for college, and a lot of people tell me to apply throughout my junior year.
However, most of the scholarships are said to go directly to my college. I'm still a junior. I'm not in college yet. And these scholarships still advertise themselves for juniors and seniors, but I haven't even applied to my dream school.
tl:dr- How will I get my scholarship money transferred to my school if I don't even have a school yet?
If the scholarship is awarded, you will be asked to provide a school where you got admitted and decided to attend. You won't know which one until you get an acceptance from a school and made the decision. It will happen in the senior year.
So where does the money go if I get a scholarship my junior year, and don't get into college until my senior year.
If you don't attend college after senior year probably it goes back to the money pool or is awarded to the waitlisted applicant. It will vary based on the policies of the organization.
