Help Me!
I'm a junior with a weighted GPA of 3.75. I thought I would be able to bring my GPA up by the end of junior year but I have had a terrible 1st quarter. Do you think I would be able to get into NC State with a SAT score of 1450 and a GPA of around 3.8 or 3.9 maybe? I have a pretty good resume of extracurriculars as well.
Since the average accepted student to NC State has a 3.8 UWGPA and a 1340 SAT score, your GPA and SAT score are quite competitive. Even without increasing your GPA, you are likely to get in so long as the rest of your application components are solid. Hope this helps!
Thank you! However the problem is I have a 3.75 WGPA which translates to about a 3.4 UWGPA. So, I don't know if I can get in.
It is still possible! Your SAT score is above the average of accepted students by 100 points, and you describe your extracurriculars as pretty good. Both of these achievements can make up for your GPA in the holistic admissions process. Writing great essays will help as well.
