Does getting a C in a regular class drastically change your GPA

I’m currently in my junior year. I’m passing all my other classes including honors Geosystems, APUSH, and APLANG. My only issue is I’m sitting at a D+ in Algebra 2. We’re on a rolling grade book and I think I can get it up, but not by much. I wanna finish off with at least a C. Would that drag my 3.6 gpa down? If so how much would it go down by?

Getting a C in a regular class will lower your GPA, but it won't severely drag it down (especially if it's balanced out by getting As or Bs in AP and honors courses!)

Since you have a 3.6 GPA and are taking plenty of APs and honors, it will probably only bring your GPA down a few points. But this does depend on the school, because every grading system is different!
