What exactly do the 'writing' levels mean in extracurricular options?
Answered

Hello, I'm wondering if anybody has explored the writing 'pyramid' on the chancing simulator. I'm having trouble understanding some of the different levels, like what top 20 publications are and 'lit journals'.

I've got a blog and publication that I founded with roughly 700 followers and tens of thousands of views, but I also don't know how to get the word count. It's on Medium if anybody's able to help with that. Just looking for some insight on those definitions, thanks!

Top 20 publications are those that are consistently ranked as the most trusted and high quality literary journals in the world. An example would be The New Yorker. Literary journals/magazines themselves are periodicals that cover a wide range of literary topics, from short stories to poems, essays, book reviews, and author biographies.

As for counting the words of your articles, you can do so by copying and pasting the text of the article into a word processor, like Word or Google Drive. Then, click on the word count button to find the total word count. Hope this helps!
