Any biology/biomed/science programs that aren't needs based?
Answered

I was wondering if anyone knew any summer programs/internship opportunities that aren't necessarily targeted towards less advantaged students. I am definitely in a more fortunate financial position than others, and it seems that many of the programs I look into are trying to reach under-represented, under-served communities. This question is sort of two parts:

1) does anyone know if these programs will also accept academically successful students who are not from under-served communities and if what they say is more of a front?

2) are there any programs out there that aren't specifically for under-served students?

Thanks for your help!

This CollegeVine blog post lists summer medical/biology programs that are not entirely needs-based. In addition to these opportunities, see if you could take summer classes at a nearby university. Hope this helps!
