Does College Vine chancing simulator consider intended major, when calculating admission chances?
Yes, it does. A few days ago, someone had mentioned that their chances change when they change their intended major. More popular majors like computer science will have lower chances.
Looks like majors are just grouped into 3 or 4 buckets and +/- 3% or 4% is changed. Doesn't seem like the chancing engine accomodates OOS+major as a grouped criteria. Say UT Austin/UW Seattle Engineering from OOS is way harder to get than just in-state Engg or out-of-state non-Engg major.
