Should I focus on my passion projects or grades?

Starting the second semester of junior year I realize I have very limited time. I want to drop some things in order to focus on my passion projects. However, I am doing a sport that I haven't played in 2 years. This is because I received a B in the sport during covid since it was difficult to be motivated. I am thinking about doing this sport again to hopefully ask if my grade can be changed. But, this means I will have very little time for my passion projects and won't be able to do them to their fullest potential. What should I do? Which choice do colleges want to see?

Even the most selective schools are willing to overlook some B grades in context- they understand that not every student is perfect, plus the B was less recent and during covid. Don't stress yourself over one B- it's not going to tank your application. On the other hand, universities DO want to see you have passion projects. Above all, your entire high school life shouldn't be geared around getting into college, and if one 'bad' grade requires this much sacrifice, you'll most likely regret not spending that time doing what you love.
