Hi! I am going to be a Junior next year and can't figure out which classes to take when. I want to study medicine, and I know I want to take AP Chem, AP Bio, and Anatomy and Phys. I am in honors chem sophomore year and my teacher recommended that I take AP Chem Junior year. He also recommended to take AP Bio and Anatomy/Phys together Senior year. Is this a good or bad idea?
Hey there @alex.l!
If you want to study medicine, more science classes are usually a good thing! If you have time in your schedule and want to take an AP class, then take AP Chemistry next year. If you have a free period to take another science class in your senior year, then do that, but if you don't and you meet all the science requirements, then don't worry about it too much. So basically, if you like science/want to study medicine and have the time in your schedule to do so, I would recommend taking as many science classes as you can. But also make sure to meet the application requirements for colleges you may want to apply to, which might require a certain number of English or math classes.
Good luck!
