How easy should my senior year be?

Hi yall. This year I took AP Lang, APES, and AP Stats. I had to make an impromptu change to my schedule the week before school began and went from no-AP to half AP and taking two math classes and two sciences. Its my first year taking any AP classes but I made it through the 1st semester with a 5.0. However, I'm feeling really burnt-out this semester. Asides from Gov/Econ and an English class I have everything I need to graduate. It makes it really tempting to choose early release and all fun, non-academic classes next year. How much should I apply myself next year? Im interested in engineering and my family has pressured me into taking Calc BC next year but asides from that is there a reason to take any more serious classes?

Just taking Calc BC will be fine. Colleges don't want to see a large drop in rigor during your senior year, but at the same time, they do not expect you to go above and beyond. Maintaining good grades with a slightly less rigorous schedule than usual is a common and acceptable route to take. Hope this helps!
