Struggling

Hi! I am a usual straight-A student taking Ap Chemistry and struggling with it. I failed repeatedly on the unit test and ended the first semester with a B-. Would it be better if I dropped the course to keep my GPA up or would it look better with the grade boost of an AP course? I love chemistry and plan on studying it as a major. Just I struggle with the tests.

Hey! I would definitely not drop AP Chem. If you plan on studying chem as your major, you are going to want to continue with that class. In general, dropping a class looks bad but in this case I think it’d look even worse. If you are struggling with tests, reach out to your teacher, if your school has a tutoring service use that, if not have a friend who’s good on tests tutor you.

Good luck! You got this. Hope this helps
