ASL vs. Chinese

Hey guys! This year my schedule got really messed up and my Chinese class was too high for me and I was literally on the verge of failing it. This in turn absolutely plummeted my GPA. I thought it would be best to drop the class before it was stuck on my transcript. I now take ASL but I know that most places don't accept it as a world language class, however, I did take 2 years of Chinese in HS (and I have taken it since 1st grade). Was it a really bad decision to take ASL rather than just sticking with Chinese?
