AP CLASSES
Answered

I will be taking AP courses for the first time next year, in Grade 11.

They will include AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP Language and Composition.

These classes are definitely and most certainly not easy.

Would you still recommend getting AP Computer Science Principles in Grade 11 or do you think I should take it in Grade 12?

Hey!

I don’t really think that whether you take it junior or senior year from the colleges point of view. In my opinion, you should take it senior year because you already have such a challenging course load as a junior. AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Calc AB, and AP Lang is a lot. I would consider separating AP Bio and AP Chem into junior and senior year since they are regarded as some of the most difficult AP classes.

Hope this helps!

Definitely wait. AP Chemistry and AP Bio at the same time sounds crazy enough, not to mention adding calculus on top. I'm taking AP Bio, AP Calc AB, and AP Lang right now, and they're manageable, but adding AP chem onto the list is something that's going to be difficult, especially if it's your first time in AP. I would even recommend trying to push AP Chemistry until next year, it's a lot. I would stick to just AP Biology, AP Calculus AB, and AP Lang and take the rest next year if you can. AP is a lot of work and a huge step up from regular classes so try not to put too much on your plate. Stay safe!

That is a lot of APs. Maybe dont overload yoourself and save AP computer science for Grade 12. Biology, Chemistry and Calculus is a lot, to add Computer Science ? Pace yourself and give the best with those APs listed and then add Computer Science later.
