Foreign language/AP Chinese
Answered

I am currently a junior and have already taken 4 years of Chinese . Most of my classmates are native speakers that just want to learn to read and write. I came in from ground zero, so this class has been extremely challenging for me.

My school offers AP Chinese, but considering my class load for next year, I am opting not to take this class senior year. Does it hurt me if I don't take AP Chinese my senior year?

Hi @Sassafras!

If you already have what can be counted as 4 years of a foreign language in high school, you don't need to take AP Chinese. It won't hurt you if you don't take it.

Hope this helps!
