Currently I'm a Junior in high school, but I'll have the opportunity to take some community college courses over the summer, though they will likely not count towards my high school transcript or be transferred to my future college if I go out of state. What are some course I can take that I would otherwise likely not take on the pre-med track (if I'm going to take it anyway and it won't be transferred then I'll take the same course twice, so other courses) that would still be beneficial for both applications and while actually in college? Thanks for you help in advance.
Hi! So first of all, I think you should look at the colleges you're interested in and try to see if any classes you take would transfer or not, since that would definitely make a difference. If not, I would take a class that's either in a subject that you feel you are weak in and that you would need more help with before college (like an intro class), or something interesting that you enjoy that you might not have a chance to take in college. If they would transfer, I would take basic general education classes, since they're the same anywhere and are much cheaper at CC. Hope this helps!
