How can I improve my SAT score in a short amount of time?

My SAT score was a 1290 on the first try. Usually, by how many points is it possible for students to increase their scores by? How do I improve my SAT score? Would a 1500+ be too much of a stretch for a goal for me?

I feel like you should take a summer SAT class, my math teacher used to teach a class like that in the summer, so i would do that. Also what i plan on doing for me at leaset is focus on SAT's in 11th grade, and then ACT in 12th, because the ACT is a bit harder, and the SAT you can take separately, meaning you don't have to take the writing/math at the same time, you can do it separately.

I'm currently attending summer classes for sometime now, but I always get at least 1 or 2 questions wrong every passage/10 questions. I'm not sure how to improve.

If I'm being 100 percent honest, 99% of people's scores only change 50 points (give or take) from their average. Meaning if this was a fluke, than sure, a 1500 is totally possible. I think if you study super super hard, you can do anything you put your mind to!!

Hi! Check out all the SAT prep articles on CollegeVine- lots of useful tips there. I also recommend visiting schoolhouse.world- they are offering free peer tutoring virtually for the SAT and I found it really helpful.

For me, using Khan Academy's personalized SAT prep has helped me boost my score (its free)! Having a personal tutor or taking an SAT prep class can also help as well if those are options for you. Hope this helps :)
