Internships + Cold Emailing

Hi!

My name is Raina, and I'm looking for internships + more opportunities for research. I want to major in neuroscience and hopefully go into biotechnology. I have a list of professors from my state university, about 10 professors, that I want to cold email. Any advice on how I can get an internship or do independent research?

Hey! I'm a high school student also looking into research assistant opportunities! I have seen multiple cold-emailing templates online. When you email your list of professors, it might be best if you could attach your resume to the email as well for reference.

p.s. Are you looking into remote or in-person research opportunities?

I'm looking for in-person research opportunities at my state university. Also, how long should my resume be? And what should I include?

You would want to highlight relevant past research experience or extracurricular activities, awards you've received, and GPA and standardized testing scores if you think those will help your professor get a sense of what kind of student you are. I would say a 1~2 page-long resume is enough to include the necessary details. You might also want to mention relevant coursework you have completed in school!
