I'm a rising senior and as college admissions get closer I'm wondering about my chances at a top-25 school. I know getting into a top school is not the most important thing in the world but I'm wondering if what I did throughout high school was enough. These are my stats.
Freshman year:
All normal classes (no ap or honors)
Average: 86.06
Sophomore year:
All normal classes (no ap or honors)
Average: 90.7
(The reason I did not take any advanced classes freshman and sophomore years was that I did not qualify for the classes due to an illness that caused me to be frequently absent from school)
Junior year:
-AP US History
-Italian 4 and 5 (two-year college class combined to one year)
Average: 95.7
Senior year classes:
- App development and web design
- AP Bio
-AP Lit
-AP Pre-calc
-AP CS Principles (self-studying)
-Gov/Econ
-Physics Honors
- World Religions
-Programming logic (at a local college near me )
Activities and Extracurriculars:
-Founding member and president of the coding club (11th & 12th grade)
-Computer Engineering for Good (summer program at NYU (This summer))
-Teen Civics ambassador (Temporary Job at the New York Public Library (5 months))
-Big sister mentor (community service (whole school year))
-Secretary of Human Rights Awareness Club (11th & 12th grade)
-National Youth Leadership Forum: Medicine (Medical summer camp at St John's University)
-Italian Honors Society (10th, 11th & 12th grade)
-National Honors Society (10th, 11th & 12th grade)
-SYEP (summer between 9th and 10th grade)
College admissions decisions consider a variety of factors beyond grades and activities, such as essays, recommendation letters, and standardized test scores. If you have a good SAT score, good ACT score, and good AP scores, I think your good :)
I recommend practicing on Olive book for the SAT. olive-book.com/users/signin
If you can afford it I recommend Princetown.

I also recommend doing a passion project :)
Well, since you obtained a B in your freshman year, you would want to get all A's senior year to show that you are improving. Did you take the ACT or SAT?
I'm taking it in August but I got a 1450 on my psat.
If you can get above 1500 on the SAT, I think you will be in good shape. Of course, college admission counselors are unpredictable, but I think you have a good chance!
Just make sure to clarify why you couldn't take AP classes during your first two years of high school.
My school only offers ap classes in your junior and senior years of high school.
Gotcha.
