club idea good?

Hi - I was thing of starting an outdoors club (Basic wilderness skills, possibly hikes) at my school. I go to a big public high school in a town that is mostly diverse. My other EC's include stuco treasurer for my grade, model un and fencing team. Would an outdoors club be interesting? My school has nothing like it and aside from getting an advisor it would be pretty easy to set up. Also any tips on starting a club would be helpful! I am stressed about my college app and starting a club would be good

Hi! It's great that you're taking initiative at your school! When thinking about starting an outdoors club, it can be tricky. You have to think about how far the wilderness is from your school and whether or not members of the club will be willing to commute to and fro to your selected location. Distance will be a factor. However if distance is not an issue, I'd say go for it!
