School Clubs

Hi to all my fellow juniors in high school! Does anyone know what clubs are most substantial to universities. I joined book club, a beach cleanup club, and just serve (writing letters to elders and students across the state). I'm looking to major in English and minor in Psych. Will these increase my chances?

As @addybaer said, leadership positions in your clubs will show how involved you are, and colleges look for leaders! Writing letters to people across your state and being in book clubs are also good ways to show colleges you are passionate about your planned major. If you enjoy writing and your school has one (and if you have the time lol), creative writing clubs also look good for English majors.

Im in a couple of

different student governments, along with Hope Squad, Women’s Empowerment and a TA for my schools Lab Preschool. Student government and Tutoring positions is what i’ve been told stands out the most

Maybe a student government role or an honors society. But props to you for doing so many extracurriculars it’s impressive in its own right :)
