Hello,
I'm a freshman and I made a Badminton Club this year. What else can I do to build a good extracurricular's list this year.
Think about what you love to do, and go to that. I tried to do XC one year, but I quit a few weeks in because I hated it. I only wanted it so it'd "look good" on my application. Seriously, don't do what I did. I picked up Taekwondo, which I do love, and joined the Tri-M music honor society, marching band, and my school's theater club. I'm now the Tri-M Vice-President, Band Historian, and got a lead role my freshman year and another my sophomore year (junior year pending). I threw away the stuff I hated and put myself out there into things I loved and found myself advancing faster than ever, making new friends, and actually enjoying myself. Go to a bunch of club interest meetings, join the ones that you really love, discard the ones you don't, and you will find yourself in a really good position. Good luck, and have fun, O. Rose
Also, because of the friends I made in those clubs, I am set to manage JV & Varsity Volleyball, as well as JV & Varsity Lacrosse in the spring
