Gap Year
Am I able to apply to colleges now and then sit on them until after my gap year after high school or do I have to wait and apply after my gap year ends?

i think it depends on the school but i know someone who waited and committed to a school and told them she wanted a gap year and everything worked out!

I’d suggest talking to your school counselor about that, my counselor always helps with those questions. I do think that would workout just fine though!
