How do you properly apply to college ?

Hi I'm an junior who is currently college hunting. I'm struggling with the process. I'm also a first generation college student. My mom is an entrepreneur who has student loans but has gone to college only two months. I need help.

Applying to college is tricky. Do you have any advisors in your community that you look up to? Since you mentioned you are a first generation college student, this will probably be someone you are not related to. Perhaps a guidance counselor? Getting a role model / mentor is a huge help and it's great to have someone guiding you down the path.
