Hello, its November already and I should have made this post before choosing and settling on the classes that I am taking for this year. I just want some thoughts on what you guys think:
AP English Lang
AP European History
AP United States History
AP Chemistry
Honors Algebra II
Band Class
Peer Leadership
I am not too sure what I want to do with my life as of now, but I am taking various classes like AP Chemistry to keep my doors open. You might have noticed that I have 2 history classes but this is only because it is something that really interests me. (however I am not planning on making a career out of it.)
Hi! I think your courses are great in terms of course rigor.
A lot of advice I hear from my teachers is to take math courses all years of high school, even if you already have the minimum required for graduation. Just a thought, though you are taking 4 AP's which is great !!
Thanks!
this will definitely be impressive to a lot of colleges but as someone taking 3 ap classes right now (environmental science, lang, and art history) it might be a LOT of work, especially with your math class. but if you are very dedicated and willing to work hard this will look great!
You have English, math, science, and history, which is good. Just be careful taking 4 AP classes at once, that might be a really big workload. I think you should consider taking dual credit classes as a senior since they have more benefits than AP and sometimes are easier.
(Edit: I fixed a typo)
Likewise, I would say colleges like to see a full load of english/language arts, math, and science all 4 years of high school. Some also have language requirements, so consider taking a language course like French or Spanish.
I dropped French this year because Chemistry is a double period for us. I am planning on taking it up again next year.
