I did some research and it seems like being an Eagle Scout will strengthen your college application and can give you an extra push to get into your dream school, but it's not quite as important as having a good GPA and test scores. Colleges consider your whole profile, and being an Eagle Scout is just one piece of the puzzle. I think being an Eagle Scout could make up for slightly less-than-perfect academics though, since colleges do care about who you are as a person, and it shows your leadership skills and dedication in an undisputable way. I wish I could have been a Boy Scout when I was little, but I'm a girl lol. But that doesn't matter anymore - did you know that in 2019, BSA made it possible for girls to be Boy Scouts? My little sister is actually a Cub Scout rn. Anyway, congrats on almost being an Eagle Scout!!! It will be an impressive addition to your resume.
