Will my demographics and extracurriculars balance out my GPA?

Hi everyone! I'm currently a Junior and wrapping up my first semester. I'm from Connecticut and plan on applying to top schools in the Northeast such as New York Universiy and Boston University. However, my GPA, an unweighted 3.39, is below average for not only these schools but others I plan on applying to. My coursework from Freshman to Junior year includes 8 honors, 4 aps, and 4 dual-enrollment.

As for my demographics, I'm a Hispanic, first-generation, upper middle-class applicant. My father owns two small businesses and my mother is a travel agent.

As for my extracurriculars, I have a ton on my plate. I'll list them below;

1. VP of my class.

2. VP of Communications for DECA chapter.

2a. 3rd in state for marketing campaign with DECA in Sophomore year, eligible to compete internationally.

3. Member and student-ambassador for Upward Bound/ConnCap, a program for collegiate preparation including, but not limited to, a 6-week college course taken over the summer. I've taken Sociology 1001 and Human Rights 101 under the program, and passed both each with an A+. The program is apply-only and of 300+ applicants, 50 were accepted.

4. Treasurer and member of the Chamber Choir at my school, which is audition only and of a traditional 200~ applicants, 30~ get in.

5. I have over 100 hours of volunteer work w/ the local soup kitchen and have helped them raise over 15k.

6. I have an art Instagram and TikTok where I've emassed some 5k~ followers, consistently getting thousands of likes and views.

7. I'm one of two Board of Educaiton Student Representatives for my district, which is made up of 5k~ students.

8. Founded the GSA at my towns middle-school and was president for two years, the club now has 70~ members and is thriving. Currently a member at the high-school GSA.

I'd appreciate any and all advice on what you believe I should do! Thanks so much <3

Keep up the good work! Continue to balance ECs, academics, and life- remember to leave time for "living" as Pollyanna says! Do your best in everything and keep doing what you love- often our interests/hobbies shape us to be the people we are!
