I have always been a good student. Principals List, high GPA, honor student, dual enrollment classes, all the typical "top student" things. My school does not offer many clubs or extracurricular classes at all. No robotics, speech and debate, or theater, and we barely have a choir. I am in no position to move schools, not that there are any better schools near me. I'm worried these restrictions will hurt my chances with the colleges I apply to. I guess I could put more time into community service outside of school and things like that to beef up my application, but it would be difficult considering my involvement in my ballet company. I also worry about not being able to get my ACT score up to an impressive level. I am currently sitting at 24, and I know I can definitely go up in English and Reading. But every time I take it I don't go anywhere in Science and I've only gone up in math because I went from not knowing anything about basic high school math because of Covid and teachers that were less than helpful, to actually having a teacher that pushed me in understanding the math. I know I am more than my score or extracurricular activities, but do colleges see it this way? Please offer any advice you have. :)
I think you are good enough. Add all this information in your college apllication and improve on the things you can control. I hope everything goes well for you :)
If you are not able to get your act up maybe its not right for you should definitely try the new digital sat take a practice test maybe you will do better or find it more comfortable since its not as fast paced. :) And in terms of extra curricular you might want to look into summer high school programs at universities or if that's not possible maybe try working at some place that suits your hobbies :)
