Hi,
My name is Alan and i am a current 10th grader. My current unweighted gpa is a 4.0 and weighted gpa is 4.06. I would appreciate some feedback on my course selection for 11th grade(is it challenging enough for a top 100 school, are any of the classes really challenging etc.)
AP CALC AB
AP BIO
AP COMP SCI A
AP LANG
AP GOV
DIGITAL ELECTRONICS(WEIGHTED)
STUDY HALL
This is an ambitious but impressive course selection for a junior. I'm no expert, but this is a rigorous junior year that top 100 schools will surely be impressed by. You'll need to work on time management with all of these APs though, that study hall will come in handy.
As someone who took AP Gov and is in AP Lang right now, I can say that these classes are dependent on who your teacher is. The coursework is honestly not difficult at all (at least to me), but combined with AP Bio (a notoriously difficult course), Calc AB, and Comp Sci, the workload could get difficult.
As a current 11th grader, your schedule is similar to some of mine. Although it might seem ambitious, it will make your resume look unique. Your study hall will play a significant role in helping you manage all the AP classes that you are taking.
AP CALC AB: This class can be challenging to manage as it depends on the teacher and requires a lot of work.
AP BIO: Compared to most of the other AP classes, this one is easier.
AP COMP SCI A: Similar to AP CALC AB, it can be demanding at times, but if you study well, the AP exam is easier than most.
AP LANG: It is not known for being difficult, and it can be one of your easier classes if you understand what to do.
AP GOV: This one's difficulty level also depends on the teacher. However, it is not that difficult.
DIGITAL ELECTRONICS (WEIGHTED): It requires less work than the others, and you will most likely do a majority of your work in class.
Bear in mind that depending on the teacher, some things might change. With these classes, you might have a bit of work every day or so often. The hardest one is probably AP CALC AB. But with your selection, I believe that you are determined enough to do it! Hope that helped!
