Will taking AP Chem tank my GPA? I've been a straight A student so far and I don't really want to tank it Senior year yk? If anyone has taken it will you please give you opinion/experience?

If you are really hesitant to take AP Chem, you can consider taking a community college Chemistry course (called a dual enrollment course). Then you can use Rate My Professor to choose a teacher you feel comfortable that you could get a decent grade with. DE classes are advanced, too, just in a different way.

Hi!! I took it last year, and in my opinion, the work is challenging and time consuming in some parts, but if you can invest time and effort into it, it's definitely worth giving a try. If you are in any honor societies that require a GPA to keep up, I don't know if I would try and risk it, but if you think you're up to the challenge, I'd recommend it! I would say maybe look at some of the previous AP Chem tests to find out if it's your thing. It's a lot of equations, calculations, and memorization, so if you are good in science and math, take it for sure!
