Do language exams help in college applications for the US? [DELF, Goethe]

I've been learning German and French for the best part of a year now, and I've gotten upto the B1 level in French and untested yet, but I'd like to approximate I've attained A1 proficiency in German. If I attain the respective certifications [B1 DELF, A1 Goethe], would they, realistically, increase my chances of getting into any university? TIA!

As a person who speaks 4 languages and didn't do the DELF for French (I regret not doing it tbh), I would say that it does help! Colleges these days are focused on how many achievements you have. If you have the opportunity, I would 100% do the DELF or Goethe! Anything to add to your college application or essay is a +.
