Hi! I'm a junior looking into applying to 10 different colleges. To stay organized with my applications, I'm trying to get a head start and mark the deadlines for their different decisions (ED, EA, RD...) but I don't know how much their deadlines will change from the 23-24 cycle to the 24-25 cycle. Should I still write down the deadlines on their website or should I check back in in August?
Thanks!
I agree with @pear.help. It is a GREAT idea to write things down on your calendar(s) early. Yes, check again in August, but starting now is the best. I like to set reminders in my digital calendar for scholarship deadlines AND set a reminder a month in advance so I have time to write my essays.
Another way to get a head start is to WRITE ESSAYS NOW. Start writing essays for common prompts for practice. Write, write, write, and get feedback to improve. Once you have brainstormed excellent essay ideas, start writing the essays you will need for each prompt. Waiting until a month before the college application is not enough time.
Hope this helps and lmk if you have any questions!
Both. Be as meticulous as possible. Doesn't hurt to be well-prepared. Good luck!
It would be best to write them down and also check back as those deadlines get closer. They tend to be the same year after year, but they are subject to change, so both would be best

I think it is good to start being organized early and write down application deadlines but remember to check back in August to see if they have shifted or changed.
