I'm retaking the SAT on June 1st and I've always been confident in the English section as my scores range from 600-700 but the math always slumps it, my highest score being 560. Does anyone have good tips on how to score higher on the math? For me it always seems like I just don't know where to start or what to even study so anything would be appreciated!! :')
I recommend starting with Khan Academy's short free course. Use the course and then go and use the questions provided on the Collegeboard Question Bank (these will be the most accurate to the possible test questions.)
Also, I used Strategic Test Prep's Youtube videos and their workbooks, which are $25 pdfs. Sometimes they give you one free if you sign up for the email list! Very helpful books...compiles practice questions in categories so you can look at your score report and see the weak areas, then focus on those. Also, Method Learning on Youtube has AMAZING videos for Desmos calculator. That calculator is a powerful tool if you know how to use it.
My math score (in March) was 660 after a 590 in October, if that helps you feel better :) It is possible to crush this test!
Hope this helps and lmk if you have any questions.
I recommend Khan Academy as it's a great resource for learning. Plus, College Board has a site called the SAT Question Bank where they keep all the different questions on all the different levels. The last thing I'm going to say is consistency is the key. You have to solve a lot of SAT Questions to get used to what the questions are like. PS: Usually, you don't get the score you want from the first try.
