I recently got a letter from NSHSS, but I'm not sure whether it's worth the $90. I understand they give out scholarships, but I will also be doing NHS this year.
And if I should accept, does this program require any activities?
Thank youuuu :)
Hey there!
I am a member of NSHSS and I wondered the same thing. However, I did choose to accept and become a member for a few reasons:
1) I am homeschooled, so this is the one "honors" society I can join, so I wanted to take advantage of that opportunity. One way I can get recognition for my academic achievement.
2) It is 90 for a membership; unlike other honor societies, there aren't any yearly fees or whatever. You pay once and done.
Some benefits: Lots of discounts for great resources. I personally really benefit from all the free webinars they have on information for preparing for and applying to college. I have learned a lot of insider information and now I am using all that knowledge to help peers here on Collegevine.
No activities are required; you choose to sign up for what you want (webinars, trips, etc). No commitment required at all, really.
Hope this helps you and lmk if you have questions!
This helps so much! Thank you
