hi, i'm going to be a junior and im planning on taking these classes: AP bio, AP psych, AP lang, regular US history, spanish 3 honors, precalc honors, and some random electives. i currently have a 4.0 unweighted and a 4.14 weighted. i took 2 honors classes sophmore year( honors chem and honors child lit) so thats why i have higher than a 4.0. i want to be a nurse and i'm also looking for recs on nursing programs in state. ( i live in california btw). do you think that i'm on the right path for nursing programs?
hii, i'm an upcoming senior and i think you have set yourself a great path for nursing. i would recommend taking AP anatomy when it releases as well as applying for the USC Bugs Jr program if you live in SoCal to add a boost to your application. I also strongly recommend taking AP stats or AP calc ab if you can.
okay, thanks so much! i want to take statistics at a community college near me during my senior year as well as AP calc bc (which at my school we get AP calc ab and bc credit). i will definitely look into AP anatomy. do you know about any good programs in Norcal? like something similar to the USC Bugs Jr thing. 😊😊
sorry for the 2 month late reply, for some reason my notifications did not load.
i'm not as familiar with norcal programs, but i do know that UC Davis offers a program during the summer. the application deadline is usually due in april so be sure to check often during the winter and early spring (March) to see if the portal has opened.

i also know that kaiser has a paid internship during the summer for juniors and senior. sign up for the mailing list so u dont miss the application drop date.

lastly, UCSF has one for seniors that focuses on biomedical research. i know it's not nursing, but it's can show your collaboration skills. i feel like this is the closest that can compare to USC's Bugs Jr Program and it has more pay too (part time: $3200, full time: $4500)! it can definitely help you pay for college apps and other things of that nature. it's held during the summer and applications open Jan 22.

i recommend setting reminders and calendar events for these program application dates so you won't miss them. best of luck!! if you ever need any help just reply to my message here.

I think you are on an amazing path! Maybe take an anatomy class or a health elective! If you are going to do dual enrollment, I would reccomend doing like a medical terminology course if its offered or just another interesting health elective. Your GPA is really good and you're taking a good amount of rigorous courses! As long as you keep up your GPA, you're set! Wishing you lots of luck!
thank you so much!!
