Transfer Student?

Hello!

I am currently on track to completing my associate's degree before I graduate High School, would this mean I should apply to Universities as a transfer student??

Thank you!

Hi! We are in the similar position with only a slight difference as I am receiving an Associate's degree. When I spoke to my advisors and counselors about it, they advised me to apply to university as a first-year student due to the fact that high school students are unable to qualify as full time college students. If we were full time college students, we would then qualify as transfer students, but since we are still in high school, you would have to apply as a first-year student! It's always safe to clarify again though!

I had a similar question because I was taking tons of community college classes (may amount to an associates degree) but not exactly an associate degree. I simply asked the admissions counselor at the university I want to attend and she said I should apply as a first-year student. I think it would be the same if you have an associates degree, but you can always ask to be sure!
