Hi! I'm having a hard time decide whether I should or shouldn't drop AP lit. Right now my schedule is AP Calc Bc, ap stats, ap physics and ap lit, along with senior seminar and a cooking class my elective. But i wasn't planning on taking the lit exam in the first place and I am starting to have second thougts on taking it. on the other hand, I don't know if I should drop it because jr year I took ap lang, ap french, ap csa, and ap precalc, and I'm worried that if I drop ap lit, then it'll seem as if im not "pushing myself" and taking challenging courses. So I wanted to know what everyone else thinks. Thanks!
don't worry if you don't think you're pushing yourself, with the amount of APs you've taken you can see your ambition for your academics! if you're wondering if it will be too much work, i can tell you about a couple of the classes. personally, ap physics is rough. hard concepts to understand, although there are plenty of online resources to help! ap stats was my easiest math class ever, i tell everyone it's honestly more of an english class than math lol, a lot of terms & specific ways of wording answers! i never personally took ap lit but it definitely had mixed opinions and seemed to have a heavier workload (dependent on the teacher). good luck in your decision!
Seven AP classes is a substantial amount, so don’t worry about whether it looks like you’re pushing yourself, because you are. Taking AP lit might take up too much attention and end up hurting your grade in those classes that are more important to you. My advice is only take it if the class itself is important to you. Good Luck!
