Hi there! I'm an incoming junior interested in pursuing architecture after high school. My high school requires a senior project to be done, and honestly I have no idea how to get started on it. I've also seen several people talking about creating passion projects and how those can help with getting accepted at universities. Can anyone help me with this? Honestly any help can be appreciated. I want to start this project as soon as possible, and the "deadline" could be in June of next year. PLEASE HELP!!
I'm also pursuing Architecture. For my personal project, I did an architectural model for a residential home situated on a hill and made it realistic with mini trees and everything, and just connected everything to research
Hi! Thank you so much. If you don't mind, is there a way I can see it so I get any ideas? I was thinking of doing an architectural model, but I'm afraid it won't be good enough, and I won't be able to back it up with effective and deep research.
If you play roblox, you could start with broxburg for testing purposes since it’s free. if you feel like you’re too old for that, pencil and paper and sketch up will do as well. First scrounge pinterest for some ideas on what kind of building you want to produce, what are your intentions (e.g creating an environmentally friendly low income housing) and what materials . usually they’ll use cardboard and plastic. If I show you my personal project it’ll be like you’re basing your project off of seeing someone else’s result and i think it would be sooo much better if it stemmed from your own critical and inspiring thinking
A platform i find that’s really good for architecture is Feather 3d. i’ve been using it for my sketches and what it does is you draw and it turns into 3d… perfect for me who doesn’t really know how to work the building programmed
I honestly don't have any clue on Architecture, but try making miniature famous buildings out of small things! Like making the Colosseum out of popsicle sticks! I can try coming up wit more if you'd like!
Thank you! Yes please that would be awesome; any help is appreciated!
