Answered

Hello, I have wanted to pursue a career as an OB-GYN, but there is no exact class or major for this job. So can you explain exactly what I need to do to become an OB-GYN.

Hey KeeKee!

I would say focusing on anything in Biology and Chemistry. Then taking electives like microbiology, physiology and anatomy.

I hope this helps!

Hi! I'm not exactly an expert, but I can give you a little bit of info about it. (My mom worked in a semi-similar area, labor and delivery.) From what she has told me, she did her main college classes in nursing, and specialized AFTER she completed school. It may be different if you are planning to be a DOCTOR in OBGYN (more school). My suggestion is to look for classes that will go over the basics that will help you when you specialize in your field after college. My mom has switched specialties multiple times, each without going back to college. I know I'm not an expert, I'm just a junior myself, but I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck on your career path!!
