advice

Hello, everyone! I am currently a junior (clearly) trying to figure out where I want to attend university and how to battle the admissions process. I am trying to take classes that pertain to my major (linguistics) and help me achieve my ICC (Indiana College Core) and Associate's degree before graduating high school. My family is in a position where I do not qualify for a lot of financial aid but have no money to go toward my university tuition. I was wondering if anyone could give me any scholarship advice and/or recommendations for my applications.

Here are my stats:

- 2nd in my class (currently) with 4.19? cumulative weighted GPA & 3.97-ish unweighted (unsure)

- 15 DC? / 1 AP (4 on AP World)

- Class President (since 2023)

- member of BPA, Kindness is Key Club (Kindness Club mixed with Key Club), Spell Bowl, Educators Rising, NHS, (German Club disbanded this year since we no longer have a German teacher, so I am taking German III through IU)

- learning ASL independently and shadowing an interpreter through my Education pathway classes for 1 period a day, 1 day a week

- learning cello for fun (independently)

- part-time job since July 2023 and have managed football since this year

- unaware of my total volunteer hours but I have signed up for approximately 23 hours for this semester through Key Club and other activities (from what I recall)

I have yet to take the ACT or SAT but on my latest PSAT I received around 1200. I have talked to my parents about possibly doing a summer abroad or other exchange program to expand my horizons, but there is a big issue with money. My school gives us a list of scholarships we can apply for from school-wide to state-wide, but I am nervous and stressed that I will not receive the prestigious scholarships that will help me reach my goal of attending a prestigious school (which is also stressful).

I plan on taking AP Calc and AP Physics or just AP Stats next year along with other courses that will allow me to obtain my Associate's.

Advice on scholarships, increasing my stats/chances, linguistic extracurriculars (I have been searching for internships but I am currently unsuccessful ): ), or topics of university in general would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

OKAY sites for scholarships that I remember: fastweb, scholarships.com, raiseme, scholarship owl. Apply for the Sallie Mae scholarship. There's one called Voice of Democracy through the VFW, this year's prompt is "Is America today our forefathers' vision?", a spoken essay due october 31st (This one's pretty easy, if you have spare time I'd do it. I made it pretty far with my essay last year)

Do the most random applications ever for scholarships, like try to apply to as many scholarships as possible, like there could a scholarship for people of a hair color, race, religion, country, hobby, interests, ANTYHING

You definitely qualify for MANY scholarships already with all of your achievements. There are lots of resources to apply for scholarships, I recommend filling out the written essay and short answer ones because less people apply. Best of luck!
